SUPERHERO PLAY

I'm watching the Nationals@Mets game, 4-3 New York in the 8th. At the top of the 8th, Mets 2nd baseman Anderson Hernandez launched himself into the air to catch a ball that was moving far and fast beyond him. For a moment, it looked like he was in full flight and that the ball would pass him by. But he kept moving, faster and farther, and finally caught the ball -- horizontally and several feet in the air -- before crashing hard into the ground. He lay there for a couple of minutes, completely breathless, but he was ultimately OK. And he never let go of the ball. Awesome.

  • Andrew, you need to write a BIG novel about Klingon baseball players who battle vampires at night.

    Erik...keep up the fine work.
